ISALONI 22 - A premiere that's been pushed for a while

Now, as we are back in Portugal its time to take a step back and look at everything that led us to this frenetic but fantastic design days. This year was special due to the back to normality after all the “pause” made by the Covid restrictions. Also new partnerships that resulted in the products we presented, many of which represented quite a “marriage” with these brands adapting our style to their DNA.

This year we have committed to ourselves to present products with a story to tell. From more dramatic ones to the ones that honor the past, all of them where made to tell you a different story.

JEAN - CHAIR (Paulo Antunes Furniture) : Inspired in the Standard chair by Jean Prouvé, and as an ode to the author itself, Jean is a chair that honors the past by looking to the future. Using the iconic back leg shape and turning it into a whole new form, Jean can be defined as a fresh classic by its own design. Taking the best of Paulo Antunes craftmanship, the whole upholstery version is a piece that will make an impact in any space you put it in. Comfortable, light and tough both the leather version or the wooden one are made to last.

DOLMEN - SOFA (Paulo Antunes Furniture) : Dolmen sofa is a streamlined sofa with distinct backrests that make it look like a megalithic structure.

The different backrests go beyond a trendy look or the use of technology. Breaking with the preconceived idea that a sofa must obey the same ergonomic rules as all the others, Dolmen is made to fit the different needs of different users.

DOLMEN - STOOL & TABLE (Paulo Antunes Furniture) : Made as an artistic expression of raw material, Dolmen is sculpted from solid wood and turned into a megalithic look line of products. With a streamlined seat made to contrast with the rough base, these sculptural pieces envision the future while honouring our past.

FROU FROU - BAR CABINET ( Jetclass) : Frou Frou is a bar cabinet that make you look for the doors. With a very rytmical look its made from layers of fringes and fireflyes pulls all around. Inside find all the details designed for a great experience of cocktail with friends. When closed and opened the fringes dance as they ask you to have a great time as you use it.

VITRAL - SIDEBOARD (Jetclass) : This sideboard made with stained glass doors inspired in patterns of the Minho region of Portugal. Made in a contemporary way we took the elements and rearranged them to look as a geometrical tile style. All mirrored inside and with a led strip the colors from the glass pop into your living room.

These were some of our many new collaborations presented during this Isaloni. It was good to be back, and fell back to “reality”.
