Ode to a Pig

Inspired in the tradition that comes from the medieval times, of eating every last piece of the Pig, this rug represents a culture that in times was seen as normal, but that increasingly disturbs and shocks the newer generations that see it has both disgusting and cruel. In this representation “Ode to a Pig” tells the story of this tradition in a nicer and less shocking way.

The concept behind the rug was developed to make it look like a hand drawing, with a not very symmetrical look giving it that handmade feel. Using the “fabric pistol” like a pen the rug comes to life in an very artistic way.
