This suspension light is inspired in “Caretos de Podence” this Northern Interior Portuguese culture protected by the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. By decontextualizing the diabolic masks and their fringe clothing this chandelier of multiple elements comes to life. Mainly as a sculptural suspension fixture, this chandelier transforms itself as the sunlight shifts into the different angles of the masks and also as it’s on and off. From texturized wood masks, fabric fringes to metal structure, this chandelier can easily be changed in size, and finishes.
